YSE is currently working with Usayd Networks in producing high quality websites on the world wide web. YSE is a base for the projects before they are publicly released and is often used for CMS and script testing. One of the systems we have grown in liking to is the WordPress publishing platform. We currently have at least 5 versions running on YSE simultaneously, the latest being the WordPress v2.0 which is a milestone for the platform.

WordPress:

• WordPress 1.5.2 running K2 rc125

K2 is a ‘mod’ theme for WordPress which offers many features of plugins and hacks combined into a simple theme available for instant activation without any modifications or manual hacking. This demo version will stay on WordPress 1.5.2 for backward testing purposes.

• WordPress 2.0.2 running Squible theme

Squible is another ‘mod’ theme for WordPress which, similar to K2, offers features of plugins and hacks combined into a theme. The theme design of Squible is highly appealing to single bloggers and is therefore quite commonly used by WordPress users.

• WordPress redirecting for UNN

Usayd Networks was previously hosted on a YSE server. The Usayd Network website has since moved to a new server, however to save any confusing or misleading URL’s, we have set up the previous UNN website as a redirect site to the new website, so all the previous URL’s take you straight to the current ones.

• WordPress 2.0.2 running Kubrik standard

YSE are testing WordPress 2.0 so that all of the current sites we have running can be made in compatibility with the requirements of the upcoming release.

• WordPress 1.5.2 running The Green Marinée template

This website is hosted by YSE and the user has chosen another common template which is attractive and quite simple.

• YSE homepage which is running a highly modified layout ported to WordPress by the Usayd Corp.

The YSE homepage has recently been redesigned to expand the use of the website. This website uses many modifications, hacks and plugins to make the site run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. The theme of the website is a heavily modified theme which has been ported to WordPress by the Usayd Corp. and YSE. We have also used some plugins and hacks making use of the upcoming AJAX technology including the live search engine and the instant sending contact form.

As well as theme development for WordPress, the Usayd Corp. have developed a few plugins for the WordPress platform. Currently there are 3 plugins that are available at Usayd Networks.

Forum:

• PunBB (1.2.8) Usayd Networks Forum
• PunBB (1.2.10) AGSB Islamic Society Forum
• PHPBB Forums were previously installed for the Usayd Networks Forum.

CMS

• Mambo CMS was used for testing a new website and may be reinstalled on the server later this year for further development on a new project.
• Joomla! is also a candidate for the project and may be installed in competition with the Mambo CMS.
• CMSimple was a candidate in a previous project.
• XOOPS is also a candidate for a future project and may be installed sometime in the near future.
• Content Injector is currently running on YSE for testing purposes.
• Pivot is running on YSE as a test/comparison web blog software.
• Olate Download is being used on this website for the downloads section. Using the built in themes compatibility we have been able to integrate it into the theme used for YSE.

Gallery

• Coppermine Photo Gallery used for YMUK Gallery
• Gallery / Gallery 2 were tested on YSE before being transferred to the official Usayd Networks website.
• SPG Simple Gallery was previously used on Usayd Networks hosted on YSE

Scripts

YSE/UN developed scripts are basically the scripts that have been created, developed or added to by YSE or the Usayd Network. You will be able to find these on the downloads page.

Script demonstrations currently running on the YSE server are listed in the sidebar. You can also download this months Script PDF which documents each script as well as its use. Please note that YSE do not take any responsibility for the scripts, nor do we take any credit for their programming unless specifically noted. Any harm that these scripts may cause to you or your computer is your own responsibility.
